The Mille Lacs County Emergency Management Office administers a county wide program to coordinate emergency preparedness activities to preserve life, property and the well being of our citizens in the event of a natural, man-made or technological disaster.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the Emergency Management Office include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrate emergency planning and preparedness at all levels of government and non-government organizations
  • Respond to emergency scenes when needed to provide assistance and coordinate resources
  • Conduct training to ensure county departments and staff are able to respond effectively in the event of a disaster or emergency
  • Provide public education on how to prepare for and respond to a disaster or emergency.

Emergency Propane Hotline

A State Emergency Operations Center has established a public hotline for Minnesotans with propane issues or questions. 

The hotline will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached at 800-657-3504.
